John Kennedy once said “He saw a wrong, he tried to right it, some asked why, others asked why not.”

I have grown up with this and other sayings imbedded in my thoughts.  The great labor leader John L. Lewis once said “Fight for the living, pray for the dead.”

I suppose these are some of the reasons that got me into the rotten world of politics, but to quote another saying, “A politician looks out for the next election while a statesman looks out for the next generation.”  I know then that if this is true I am not a politician and hope to prove to be the latter!

Is it past your imagination that a politician could actually head the State and look out for the people instead of the companies that have given them huge contributions?  My campaign will depend on you, the grass roots, the voters.

I have no friends in Charleston that I owe anything!  I owe no one but you the people!  I am going against a very powerful political machine with millions to spend and an incumbent so you have to help me, without you I do not have a chance.  The money does matter but the vote is what will suffice.
